|PowerGrit Saw used to safely and quickly cut mains pipe with other services in close proximity|
On a regular basis mains repairs have to be carried out in trenches with other services in close proximity, similar to this 8" ductile mains repair. This restriction makes using a cut off saw both difficult and dangerous, so a safe and fast method is needed. PowerGrit is the solution.
Used here on the Pipe clamp, the ICS PowerGrit 890F4 saw cuts the pipe from the one side with minimal operator effort as the clamp acts as a pivot, this also makes for a very accurate, precise cut with excellent control of the saw. The cutting time using Powergrit is also substantially faster than a cut off saw, which is another important benefit.
PowerGrit can be used on a wide range of utility pipes from cast and ductile Iron to plastic, as well as insituform pipe lining and asbestos pipe. It is available on the 880F4 Hydraulic Saw plus the 695GC Petrol Saw.
